Prologue
Here we are back in May and time to venture south to Maasbracht and Annapanna. I’ve had a pretty good winter thank you, especially with my new walking buddies – our little Tuesday group of Ted, Clemmie and of course Crumpet. We always visit dog friendly cafes afterwards which is one of the highlights for me – well that and seeing Ted again as I have a bit of a girly crush on him. I’ll miss you all. More recently I have been recovering from major surgery. OK, it was only a day case, but I did have to have a general anaesthetic, so it must have been quite serious. I’m all recovered now though you’ll be pleased to hear.
So off we set, a couple of days later than originally planned as first they wanted to say goodbye to Phil, the barbecue king and party host extraordinaire. He had a good send off in his last role as super host. He would have been proud, I’m told.
The delay meant we were still around for Sheila’s 94th birthday, which she was very happy about, so after leaving me all day with Roger they then left me again to go out to dinner… Not impressed, although I’m very happy with Roger.
